Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) - Susan Ee "the thing that really convinces me that the apocalypse is here is the crunching of smartphones under my feet." - Penryn Way to go, Penryn. What can I say about this book? I love it so much that there are very few words to express what I feel. Susan Ee has done a stunningly wonderful work. She has turned angels to something terrifying yet we can still love a few of them. She had created the strongest female lead ever - Penryn.I never wanted to end this book. Once I got really into this book I read as slow as possible savoring every word. The post - apocalyptic world was a hard world with death hiding in every corner and I was constantly surprised by Penryn's reactions to these events. Her courage was something that baffled me for I could not understand her bravery, her thirst to protect her crippled sister and schizophrenic mother yet somehow I could relate to it.The last few chapters were strange, it was like a dream which I never wanted to end but like everyone says 'all good things must come to an end' and so did this book. I stared at my Kindle when the book ended wishing that I could forget what I just read and read this book again. But those things called magic doesn't exist in our world, does it? That's why we love books like this so much. So that we can live and breathe their world like we do ours; to completely immerse ourselves deeply into their lives and to be left wondering; why do all good things come to an end?
